Heading up MDM Create are a team of creative experts with a diverse mix of skillsets and experience that lend themselves to our broad variety of projects, whatever the brief we have the right people for the job!

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Eddie Saul
Eddie is the Creative Director of MDM Create. Having started his career initially as an actor at a visitor attraction in 1996 he has since worked from the ground up and gained an excellent understanding of all aspects of the industry. Prior to working for Create, he worked for Merlin Entertainments where he headed up part of the Research and Development department. As part of that role he was the key creative point of contact for our external partners such as Bear Gryll’s, Dreamworks, Sony and Cadbury. Alongside this he oversaw supervising and designing the content for multiple new attractions which continue to entertain millions of people worldwide.

ART DIRECTOR
Simon Morrell
Simon is a Creative professional who has worked across multiple areas within the design industry over a 20 year period. My role within MDM Create is to head up the design department, setting the creative vision and design strategy of every project to ensure creative integrity is always retained in line time and budgetary constraints. Prior to joining Create I lead the creative development of both the LEGO and Tussauds brands for Merlin Entertainments, a position which spanned almost 10 years and saw me design and deliver over 30 global attractions.


CREATIVE LEAD
Vilte Grigaityte
Vilte has been with MDM Create from the start, working on various Madame Tussauds projects for Merlin Entertainments and Tomb Raider Live for Little Lion Entertainment.
Before moving over to Create she spend 5 years with MDM Props eventually heading their design department. Here she worked on a wide range of projects for clients including Google, Merlin Entertainments, Disney, Serpentine Galleries, Louboutin, and many others. Vilte holds a masters degree in Architecture and has worked as a Part II Architectural Assistant prior to joining MDM in 2016.

BUSINESS DIRECTOR
Cate Kappler
Cate gained a BA in Fine Art sculpting at Central St Martins and came to MDM in 2008 as a freelancer. She moved into the project management team in 2010 and has successfully managed numerous projects since then spanning many different genres. Some of her projects include: Islamic Solidarity Games, BAKU, Robbie Williams Stadium Tour 2013, British Summertime Festival, Download Festival and Bear Gryll’s Adventure.


PARTNER
Russ Scofield
Russell has worked within the Visual Arts/Entertainment industry for over 30 years.
Russell’s background is in Fine Arts before moving to take a role at the Yorkshire
Sculpture park, organising the exhibition installs. His work encompassed all aspects of public art creation and installation, working alongside many leading international artists. On leaving Russell formed scenery/props company specialising in TV shows for the BBC and ITV plus various independent production companies. This in turn led to joining MDM props LTD in 1999 and becoming a partner and director in 2004.

Intern
Benjamin Arnold
Benjamin joins us from Loughborough University
where he studies Architecture and has tailored his research into inclusivity and accessibility, to make designs people centric.
Having experience in acting, writing and as a ride host, Ben is enthusiastic about creating experiential stories. Some of his projects include: Ghost Train at Thorpe Park, TWIST Museum and Madam Tussauds.
